Lady Tigers capture first-ever district title; Hillsboro, McClain track and field athletes advance to regionals

The Hillsboro and McClain track and field teams competed in the Division II Southeast District meet May 16 and 20, where the Lady Tigers earned their first-ever district title.
In the girls event, McClain scored 115 points to win the meet, with Hillsboro finishing fifth with 52.5 points. Circleville was second with 109.5 points, followed by Unioto in third with 79 and Washington in fourth with 71.
The Hillsboro boys team was also fifth with 62 points, while the McClain boys team finished 14th overall. The boys meet ended in a tie with Zane Trace and Minford finishing as district co-champions. Washington was third (78 points), and Unioto was fourth (72 points).
