Hillsboro, McClain both hit the links in FAC No. 3 golf event

The Hillsboro Indians and McClain Tigers boys golf teams competed in the third event of the Frontier Athletic Conference for the 2026 season, taking place on Monday, Aug. 17 in Jackson.

The Indians placed fifth overall with a team score of 176, while the Tigers were sixth place at 202.

Winning the team event for the FAC No. 3 contest was Jackson at 150, followed by Miami Trace (159), Chillicothe (160) and Washington (169).

Scores for Hillsboro included: Kyle Thoroman (43), Brody Kelch (43), Logan Barton (43), Marcus Bogard (46), Hunter Seeling (46), and Charlie Starks (49).

McClain’s scores were: Connor Chandler (39), Zander Lyons (47), Jax Vanzant (57), Rilan Ballein (59) and Jack Judkins (68).

Winning the event to be match medalist was Jackson’s Parker Holsteion with a score of 35. In second place was Jackson’s Dalton Kight with a score of 36. The rest of the Top 5 included Andrew Hamman (CHS, 36), Gage Bowers (MT, 37), and Malachi Wynne (WCH, 38).
