Lady Lions net 10 goals in won over Southeastern

Scoring 10 goals in their non-conference game on Wednesday, the Fairfield Lady Lions added another win to their overall total, defeating the Southeastern Lady Panthers, 10-1 at SEHS.

The convincing win included a hat trick from sophomore Meri Jackson and two-goal games from both Vivian Henninger and Landry Teeters.

Scoring one goal each for the Lady Lions were Sophie Humphrey, Whitlee Morrow and Rilee Quickle.

FHS also totaled five assists as a team, with those credited to Hannah Hamilton with two assists, Humphrey with assists and Henninger adding one assist.

At goal for the Lady Lions were Jackson and Claire Newkirk.

Wildcats score 10 goals; defeat Piketon

Tyler Wessner of Whiteoak led the Wildcats with a four-goal game, as WHS defeated the host Piketon Redstreaks, 10-1 in non-conference action.

Others scoring goals for WHS were Abe Flader with two, Shawn Mitchell-Cox with two, and scoring one goal each were Tre Lamb and Christopher Wessner.

Christopher Wessner also collected two assists, and having one assist each were Kenyon Hughes, Jillian Lucas and Adrionna Phillips.

At goal for the Wildcats was Jackson Tedford with five saves.

WHS is now 6-4-0 overall, and they sit at 1-3-0 in the SHAC.

Six players score goals in LCHS win over Williamsburg

Having balanced scoring in their non-conference game against Williamsburg on Thursday, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs defeated the Williamsburg Wildcats, 6-0.

Scoring goals for the Mustangs were Noah Bitzer, Caden Boone, Elam Faust, Harley Lewis, Quinn Wells and Braedon West.

Assists were credited to Bitzer, Alexander VanFleet and Wells.

Keeper Isaac Eyre had one save in the shutout win.

Lady Mustangs drop game to Williamsburg

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs were held to a single goal on Thursday, resulting in a 2-1 loss against the visiting Williamsburg Lady Wildcats at LCHS.

In the non-conference loss, LCHS had their one goal scored by Aubrey Slack, with the assist credited to Caitlyn Collins.

At goal for LCHS were Collins and Allie Waits, as Waits had four saves.

Fairfield Lady Lions shut out Piketon

An 11-goal performance on Thursday in a road non-conference game saw the Fairfield Lady Lions defeated the Piketon Redstreaks 11-0.

Vivian Henninger collected a hat trick in the win, while Sophie Humphrey had two goals.

Scoring one goal each were Isabelle Hale, Hannah Hamilton, Ava Hooper, Meri Jackson, Landry Teeters and Emerson Zink.

Meri Jackson and Claire Newkirk were at goal for FHS, with Newkirk having one save.

Fairfield is now 10-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the SHAC.

Lady Indians tie with Jackson

In a Frontier Athletic Conference game on Thursday, the Hillsboro Lady Indians and host Jackson Ironladies tied with a 0-0 score.

HHS now stands at 6-6-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the FAC standings.

Hillsboro drops FAC game to Jackson

Going on the road for Frontier Athletic Conference play, the Hillsboro Indians fell to the Jackson Ironmen by a 2-0 score.

The shutout loss moves the Indians to an overall record of 7-5-0 and a FAC record of 3-3-0.

Tigers close at Miami Trace

In a closely played FAC game on Thursday, the McClain Tigers lost to the host Miami Trace Panthers by a 3-2 score.

Both of McClain’s goals were scored by Gustavo Simas.

MHS is now 0-6-0 in the FAC and 2-8-0 overall.

Lady Tigers tie with MTHS

Both the McClain Lady Tigers and Miami Trace Lady Panthers scored one goal in their Frontier Athletic Conference game on Thursday, resulting in a 1-1 time at MTHS.

McClain’s goal was scored by Karlee McGlone.

MHS stands at 3-1-2 in the FAC and 7-1-2 overall.

Mustangs take down Unioto

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs’ non-conference game on Saturday at Unioto saw the visitors defeat the Unioto Shermans, 3-2.

In the win at UHS, Lynchburg-Clay had goals from Mason Fisher, Harley Lewis and Braedon West. Cody Bell was credited with an assist.

Isaac Eyre finished with six saves.

The Mustangs are now 5-0-1 in the SHAC and 9-3-1 overall.

LCHS falls to Unioto

In a non-conference game on Saturday, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs were shut out by host Unioto, with LCHS falling by a 1-0 score.

This was the first time LCHS has been shut out this regular season.

LCHS is now 6-4-1 overall, and they sit at 4-0-1 in the SHAC.
