24 Highland County baseball players selected Coaches All-District; Chris Veidt named Div. IV SE District West Coach of the Year
The Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association has released its All-Southeast District baseball team, with 24 players and one coach from Highland County earning honors this spring.
Division IV led the way with the Coach of the Year for the west side of the district, Whiteoak head coach Chris Veidt, and six first-team All-District selections. For Fairfield, Gabe Fouch, Cade Miller and Dow Moon were named to the first team, while for the district champion Whiteoak, they had Landon Barnett, Nate Price and Luken Roades all selected. In Division II, Hillsboro’s Korbin Adams and McClain’s Kaden Penwell also both earned first-team honors.
For the second team, Division IV had three players, with Whiteoak’s Ian Griffith and Eli Roberts as well as Fairfield’s Landry Hattan earning recognition. Division II had two second-team representatives in Hillsboro’s Brayden Hunter and McClain’s Andrew Potts.
Honorable mention recognition went to McClain’s Jayden Allison in Division II, Lynchburg-Clay’s Josiah Burns in Division III and Whiteoak’s Zander Roades in Division IV.
Eight baseball players were special mention, with Hillsboro and McClain each having two players honored in Division II. For HHS, Bryce Parsons and Garet Thompson were special mention, while Haydon Hice and Gavin Warren were selected for McClain. Fairfield and Whiteoak also had two selections apiece, with Noah Allering and Wyatt Collins honored for Fairfield and David Donohoo and Carson Emery chosen for Whiteoak.
