13 Highland County girls basketball players named OPSWA All-District; West selected to first team

The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association released their 2023-24 All-Southeast District girls basketball teams Saturday, with Highland County having 13 players represented.
Leading the way was Lynchburg-Clay senior Addison West, who was named to the first team in Division III. West averaged 16.4 points this season, as she also scored her 1,000th career point.
In Division II, Hillsboro junior Blake Herdman (9.8 ppg.) and McClain freshman Paisley Pryor (12.4 ppg.) were both named to the second team. Two more players earned second-team honors in Division III, in Lynchburg-Clay senior Jade Massey (14.6 ppg.) and Fairfield senior Faith Donley (15.1 ppg.). Rounding out the second-team honors was Whiteoak senior Jaylie Parr (12.9 ppg.) in Division IV.
Earning third-team honors in Division III were Lynchburg-Clay senior Macy Etienne and Fairfield junior Kelsey Clark, as both players averaged 12.5 ppg.
Three Highland County athletes earned Special Mention in Division II, including Hillsboro’s Tylee Davis and Kyra Boyd as well as McClain’s Lily Barnes. Special Mention players in Division IV were Whiteoak’s Kylee Hamm and Lydia Carr.
