10 Highland County boys basketball players named Coaches All-District; Davis Co-POY, Friend on Div. IV first team

Highland County had 10 boys basketball players named to the 2023-24 District 14 Coaches Association All-District teams, including two first-team honorees and a co-Player of the Year.

In Division I/II, Hillsboro junior Tate Davis was named to the first team and was also selected as Co-Player of the Year, along with Washington senior Isaiah Haithcock. Davis averaged 15.8 points for the Indians this season.

Also earning first-team Coaches All-District recognition was Fairfield senior Larkin Friend in Division IV. Friend led the (currently) 18-3 Lions with 14.5 points per game in 21 games this season.

A trio of Highland County athletes were named to the Division IV third team, with Fairfield junior Logan McIntosh, Fairfield senior Trey House and Whiteoak senior Weston Blair all earning honors.

Five Highland County players were named Honorable Mention, including Hillsboro freshman Jack Howland and McClain senior Seth Weller in Division I/II; Lynchburg-Clay sophomore Denver Clinton in Division III; and Fairfield senior Gabe Fouch and Whiteoak sophomore Sawyer Blair in Division IV.
