Lady Lions lose in 5 sets

In a non-conference away match, the Fairfield Lady Lions lost to Clermont Northeastern in five sets.

Fairfield won set one at 25-18, then won the second set also at 25-18. CNE rallied to win the final three sets for the win by scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 15-13.

FHS was led in kills by Jobey Hattan with 22, and the team leader in assists was Paisley Stahlhut with 27.

The aces leader was Remi Moon with three, and leading the team in digs was Hattan with 20. McKinley Cox was the team leader in blocks with four.

Others with kills recorded for FHS were Moon (five), Stahlhut (five), Mackenzie Anderson (four), Cox (four) and Jaeden Drury (three).

Assist were recorded by Moon (four), Anderson (three), Mya McIntosh (two), Alyssa Bales (one) and Hattan (one).

Lady Lons with aces against CNE were Bales (two), Hattan (two), Anderson (one) and Cox (one).

Digs for FHS were made by Moon (15), Stahlhut (12), Anderson (eight), Bales (seven), Cox (three) and Shelby Pelton (one).

Fairfield had by recorded by Anderson (three) and McIntosh (one).

Hillsboro loses at Chillicothe in 4 sets

In four sets Thursday, the Hillsboro Lady Indians lost to the host Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers in a Frontier Athletic Conference match.

HHS won set one at 25-22, but lost the ensuing three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-12 and 25-20.

The Lady Indians were led in kills by Samantha Tipton with 14, and leading in aces was Tylee Davis with two.

Camryn Spruell and Tipton led HHS with one block each, and the digs leader was Ryan Wagoner with 12. Hillsboro’s assist leader was Kayla Seeling with 29. The service receptions leader for the Lady Indians was Wagoner with 27.

Kills for HHS were recorded by Spruell (eight), Wagoner (five), Davis (five), Allie Roush (three) and Seeling (two).

Aces for the Lady Indians included Seeling (one), Tipton (one) and Roush (one).

Digs for Hillsboro were recorded by Addison Huff (10), Davis (eight), Seeling (eight), Jadi Howland (seven), Tipton (five), Roush (five) and Spruell (one).

Assists for HHS were recorded by Roush (three), Wagoner (two), Tipton (one), Howland (one) and Huff (one).

HHS service receptions were made by Howland (16), Davis (six), Tipton (three), Roush (three) and Seeling (two).

HHS is currently 9-4 overall and 4-2 in the FAC.

MHS falls to Washington

The McClain Lady Tigers lost a road Frontier Athletic Conference match Thursday to the Washington Lady Blue Lions in four sets.

MHS won set one at 25-23, then lost their next three sets at 25-16, 25-23 and 25-22.

McClain now stands at 5-11 overall, and they are 2-4 in the FAC.

Lady Lions win in 3 sets over Manchester

Fairfield won in dominating fashion Thursday night by defeating the Manchester Lady Greyhounds in three straight sets for the SHAC victory.

FHS defeated Manchester by scores of 25-10, 25-08 and 25-12.

The win sends Fairfield to 7-1 in the SHAC and 8-4 overall.
