McClain loses game against Wheelersburg
On Friday night, the McClain Tigers lost on the road at VA Memorial Stadium to Wheelersburg in five innings by a 11-1 score.
The non-conference loss for MHS saw them score their lone run in the top of the first inning. Wheelersburg scored one run in the bottom of the first, followed by a four-run second, three-run third, one run in the fourth and two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Wheelersburg totaled 11 hits and had one error, while MHS totaled six hits and two errors.
Kaden Penwell for McClain was 3-for-3 with one run and a double..
Having one hit each were Cohen Six (1-for-1, a triple, one walk), Seth Weller (1-for-3) and Eli Douglas (1-for-2). Connor McCune and Benny Vangundy each drew a walk.
Pitching for MHS was Easton Ary and Vangundy.
The loss sends McClain to an overall record of 6-8.
