Whiteoak falls to Ripley

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats lost to the host Ripley Blue Jays in five sets, Friday in Southern Hills Athletic Conference action.

WHS won set two at 25-16 and set four at 25-18. Ripley won sets one (25-16), three (25-22) and five (15-11) to secure the win.

WHS falls to 1-10 in the SHAC Division II standings and 1-18 overall. Ripley is now 4-8 in the SHAC Div. II standings and 8-11 overall.

Mustangs net 7 goals in SHAC win over Fairfield

Playing on Friday night, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs earned a SHAC victory over the visiting Fairfield Lions by a 7-0 score.

In the Highland County rivalry match, the Mustangs had a two-goal performance from senior Cody Bell.

Scoring one goal each were senior Noah Bitzer, junior Elam Faust, sophomore Levi Fields, sophomore Mason Fisher and senior Braedon West.

Assists were credited to Fisher, West, junior Wyatt Osborn and sophomore Alexander VanFleet.

At goal for the Mustangs was senior Isaac Eyre with one save.

For the Lions at goal was senior Zane Matthews with 10 saves.

The win put LCHS at 6-0-1 in the SHAC standings and 10-3-2 overall.

Fairfield moved to 2-4-0 in the SHAC and 2-11-0 overall.

Wildcats add another SHAC victory

The Whiteoak Wildcats gained another SHAC win for the 2024 season on Friday, defeating the visiting Peebles Indians by a 1-0 score.

Scoring the lone goal was senior Tyler Wessner, an unassisted goal.

At keeper for Whiteoak was senior Jackson Tedford with 15 saves.

Peebles with the loss moved to 5-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the SHAC.

Whiteoak is now 2-4-0 in the SHAC and 7-5-0 overall.

Tigers win against Westfall

The McClain Tigers gained a non-conference win on Saturday afternoon as they defeated the Westfall Mustangs at WHS by a 2-0 score.

The win improves the Tigers to 3-10-0 overall, and in the FAC they are 0-8-0 this season.
