Lady Lions soccer defeats Unioto by 3 goals

Fairfield girls soccer played one match this past week, and they left the soccer field with the victory by defeating the host Unioto Lady Shermans, 4-1 in non-conference action in Chillicothe. 

The Lady Lions had two goals scored by senior Vivian Henninger, while sophomore teammate (and sister) Ruby Henninger scored a goal. Fairfield senior Emerson Zink also scored a goal for the Lady Lions in the win. 

Assists were credited to Vivian Henninger and Zink for the Lady Lions. Senior keeper Meri Jackson collected six saves for Fairfield. 

The Lady Lions finished with 37 shots in the match, including 23 shots on goal. 

Fairfield now has an overall record of 5-2-2, with a SHAC record of 1-1-1.

Next for the Lady Lions is an away SHAC match against the Peebles Lady Indians on Monday, Sept. 21 at PHS with a 4:30 p.m. start.
