Fairfield victorious against Fayetteville and Ripley

In two recent Southern Hills Athletic Conference contests, the volleyball team from Fairfield High School earned wins over the Fayetteville Lady Rockets and the Ripley Lady Blue Jays. 

This past Thursday (Aug. 21), the Lady Lions earned a four-set win over the Lady Rockets at Fairfield High School. 

Fairfield lost the first set at 25-20 but came back to win the ensuing three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 25-18. 

In the win, Fairfield’s Emma Ayers totaled 14 digs and one assist. Teammate Alyssa Bales finished with two assists, four aces and 18 digs. 

Addison Cannon ended the match with one kill, two aces, four digs and two blocks. Jaeden Drury totaled four kills, two aces, one dig and three blocks. Kinsey Drury totaled one kill, one assist, two aces and nine digs. 

Jorja May finished the SHAC win with four kills, three assists, four aces and 25 digs. Remi Moon finished with 20 kills, two assists, two aces and 21 digs. Paisley Stahlhut totaled nine kills, 25 assists, one ace and five digs. 

It was a three-set win on Monday as Fairfield gained a SHAC victory over the Ripley Lady Blue Jays in three straight sets at RHS. 

The Lady Lions won sets by scores of 25-22, 27-25 and 25-17. 

In the match, Ayres of FHS finished with 10 digs, while Bales had nine aces and 10 digs. Cannon ended the match with three kills, three aces and one dig. 

Jaeden Drury finished the contest with three kills, one assist and one dig. Kinsey Drury had one kill, two assists and 11 digs. 

Fairfield also saw May finish with seven kills, one ace and 10 digs. Teammate Moon collected 21 kills, two aces and 11 digs. Stalhut totaled 31 assists, two aces and three digs. 

The two wins moved the Lady Lions to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the SHAC Division II standings.
