The Oct. 11 meeting of the Lynchburg Three Arts Club was held at the home of Colleen Mount, which was beautifully decorated in keeping with the Halloween and fall season.
The president, Katy Farkus, called the meeting to order by reading the club collect. Secretary Caroline Braley read the minutes, and the roll was answered by naming or wearing our favorite sweater. The treasurer's report was given by Becky Davidson. The club voted to increase the amount usually given to the Children's Services Christmas Fund.
We discussed the date that we will decorate the tree at the Historical society. Our next meeting was changed to Nov. 15 because our meeting fell on election night. After the meeting was adjourned, a birthday auction was conducted and won by Ellen Pennington.
Kathy Farkus had the program, which consisted of decorating a skirt for the Christmas tree at the Historical Society.
The hostess served a delicious dessert course to the following members: Mount, Pennington, Braley, Nancy Shaffer, Farkus and Davidson.
