The Highland Soil & Water Conservation District’s 68th annual meeting will be held on Oct. 14, at the Highland County Training & Employment Center (Hi-TEC) located at 1575 N. High Street in Hillsboro from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
This year, the Highland SWCD will be hosting a social gathering with light refreshments being served.
Various events will be held throughout the evening, including the supervisor election from 4:30-6 p.m., a silent auction to benefit conservation programs and the presentation of awards is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
Two supervisors will be elected to serve a three-year term. Ronald Caldwell, Jim Carr and Kyle Mustard are the candidates on the ballot. You may vote on the evening of the meeting or by requesting the proper absentee ballot forms from the SWCD office at (937) 393-1922 ext.3.
