Nationally acclaimed contemporary Christian artists Sidewalk Prophets and Josh Wilson will be performing at the Southern State Community College Patriot Center on SSCC's central campus, Friday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.
The artists will kick off their "Live Like That" tour April 13 in Missouri. The Hillsboro concert will be their only stop in Ohio.
Sidewalk Prophets received the GMA Dove award for New Artist of the Year in 2010 and have been nominated for four Dove awards. Their best-known songs include "You Love Me Anyway" and "The Words I Would Say." Sidewalk Prophets' first album, "These Simple Truths," sold over 100,000 copies and 322,000 digital tracks, according to the band's website. The band is currently touring to promote their sophomore album, "Live Like That," which was released March 27.
Josh Wilson was recently named ASCAP Christian Songwriter/Artist of the Year. His songs include "Savior Please," "Fall Apart," and "I Refuse." His most recent album, "See You," was released in 2011. Wilson ended 2011 with two songs on the top 10 Billboard Christian Singles chart. He has previously toured with such artists as Matthew West and Jonny Diaz.
