"Caring. Close to Home" is a fitting tagline for Highland District Hospital. It seems just as fitting for a 22-year volunteer who just chalked up 5,000 volunteer hours. Shirley Amshoff is a volunteer who has been committed to the mission of caring through her service to HDH as a volunteer. Shirley was employed by Cincinnati Inc. as an office technician, and retired 34 years later. She and her husband moved to Hillsboro in 1986, and a year later, she started working at the hospital as a volunteer. She currently greets people, and provides refreshments to visitors and families in the Surgery Department. Shirley's willingness to serve is invaluable to Highland District Hospital, and the lives she touches through volunteering. Congratulations to Shirley Amshoff, we're proud she is on the HDH team.[[In-content Ad]]
