Four Scouts from Troop 171 met at Rocky Fork Lake's South Beach Friday, May 7 to complete two hours of conservation service work.
The four Scouts were able to pick up trash along the whole shore line of the beach area. Five bags of trash and a large piece of Styrofoam from an old dock were removed from the lake's shoreline.
South Beach now has an 18-hole Frisbee golf course, a shelter overlooking the lake and playground equipment to go along with the smaller beach.
A light supper was cooked by the boys after the work was completed.
