Remember the animal shelter for your holiday donations

Sevrin Florek, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a sixth-grader of Hillsboro Middle School, recently raised $313.91 for the Highland County Humane Society Animal Shelter on S.R. 124 by asking for donations from his church in Hillsboro.

Sevrin was prompted to help after stopping by the shelter to give his annual donation in the birthday month of his dog, Luke, which he got at the Humane Society two years ago.

Sevrin thanks the members of St. Mary’s for their generous gift and asks that the community consider the shelter in their holiday giving this year.
