Pricetown Partners 4-H Club gears up for Highland County Fair

The Pricetown Partners 4-H Club met on Aug. 10 at Lynchburg-Clay High School.
Jake Wilson, Colten Angles, and Jared Brinson led the pledges. There were 26 members and seven guests present.
The times for animal arrivals and skillathons have changed. Contact your adviser for information.
Fair passes will be available several times throughout the next few weeks.
The dates are the following: Aug, 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sept. 2 from noon to 6 p.m., and Sept. 3 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. for exhibitors and advisers. Entries at the Jr. Fair Building is on Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Awards are on Sept. 7 starting at 6:30 p.m.
There’s a signup sheet for the armory and Jr. Fair Building work periods.
The Pricetown Partners are schedule to run the 4-H food booth from 9-11 a.m. on Sept. 11.
Officer books are due at the Extension Office on Sept. 2 by noon. The Jr. Fair workday is Aug. 21 from 9 a.m. to p.m. Fair queen applications are due Aug. 20.
Cayla Buchreitz did a demonstration on goat showmanship. Jake Magie, Hannah Magie, Claire Magie, and Ashley Tenas did a demonstration on pig showmanship. Lucas Brown did a demonstration on incubating eggs. Claire Magie and Courtney Tenas did a demonstration on reading rabbit feed tags. Alan West did a demonstration on archery safety.
The next meeting will be held on Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. at Lynchburg-Clay High School.[[In-content Ad]]
