The Premier Showmen 4-H Club held their sixth meeting of the year on Sunday, May 7 at the 4-H food booth. The meeting was called to order by the president, Sydney Sanders, at 6 p.m.

At the beginning of the meeting, members participated in a leadership game called pass the hoop. In the game, the members formed a circle and held hands. A hula-hoop was then placed between two members and they had to pass the ring around the circle without using their hands. After this the club returned inside for officer reports.

During club office reports, Vice President Carly Sanders read the updated constitution and by-laws. During new business, the club voted to approve the updated constitution and by-laws.

The constitution and by-laws were approved with two changes: all club members must attend six meetings and all club members must participate in the skillathon or project interview for their livestock projects.

Then, dates were shared for 4-H and Highland County Fair events. For the Cloverbud activity, the Cloverbuds learned about soil and plants.

Five members gave their demonstrations. Brayden Cummings gave his demonstration on cattle vaccines and injections, and Christian Cummings did his on how to make chocolate chip dip. After that, Shannon Combs gave his demonstration on how to prepare a demonstration; and Mercy Combs gave hers on how to make a first-aid kit. Last, Carson Grooms gave his demonstration on how to make a cattle halter.

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club will meet again on June 4 at 7 p.m.
