The Rainsboro Cub Scout Troop, Pack 316, recently participated in the Scout Food Drive and collected 1,418 items for the Rainsboro Food Pantry.
The troop is brand-new, as it was chartered in May 2012. Currently, the troop has 17 boys from grades first through fifth.
If you would like your son, grades first through fifth, to participate in the scouting program, which meets most Thursday evenings at 7 p.m., please contact Darrell Holbrook at 365-1926. Scouting provides fun, fellowship and various skills. It emphasizes honesty, self-reliance and respect. It is a year-round program that affects one’s character, moral responsibility and personal fitness.
The Rainsboro Food Pantry, at the United Methodist Church, is for the residents of Paint and Marshall Townships. It is open from 10 a.m. - noon on the fourth Saturday of each month.
