New Petersburg group holds anniversary dinner

The New Petersburg Social Civic Club met at the Rainsboro Methodist Church at noon on Sept. 15 for their anniversary dinner. Lunch was served by the Rainsboro men's class. Sixteen members were present for the delicious meal. A short business meeting followed.

The election of officers were 2010 were as follows: president, Verla Hodson; vice president, Malinda Wells; secretary, Chris Tolbert; assistant secretary, Glenna Ross; treasurer, Vicki Duff; and assistant treasurer, Debbie Ellison.

A monetary collection was taken up for the Rainsboro food pantry.

Secret sister gifts were received by Janet Lawwell, Marion Dodds, Margaret Crabtree, Hodson, Debbie Robinson, Wanda Green, Ellison and Cora Hamilton.

Those present not mentioned above were Anna Lou Lucas, Ruth Ann Watts, Bea Mustard, Phyllis Miller, Patty Detty and Janet Campbell.

The October meeting will be at the Fall Creek Friends Church with hostess Margaret Crabtree.
