New Directions plans weekly events

This week, New Directions Youth Ministry in Greenfield will participate in the following activities.
• Wildside, the weekly middle school event, will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the New Directions youth center, 251 Jefferson St. in downtown Greenfield. Wildside features a game room, coffee house, live band, high-energy games, small group discussions about real-life issues and much more. Wildside is for all students in grades 6-8.
• New Directions will host a fundraiser at Calhoun's On Jefferson Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 4:30-8 p.m. Calhoun's is located on the 200 block of Jefferson St. (across from the post office). Come and enjoy a delicious meal, and 10 percent of gross sales will go to the New Directions building fund. The special is beef & noodles and mashed potatoes. You can also order from the delicious selections on the regular menu. The community is encouraged to come out and show support for New Directions.
• SoulFire, New Directions' weekly high school event, will be held Thursday, Feb. 23 from 7-9 p.m. at the New Directions youth center. SoulFire features a game room, coffee house, live band, high-energy games, small group discussions about real-life issues and much more. SoulFire is for all students in grades 9-12.
• On Saturday, Feb. 25, New Directions will take a snow tubing trip to Mad River Mountain Ski Resort in Bellefontaine. The group will leave from New Directions at 10 a.m. and return home around 7 p.m. All students must be signed up for this event and turn in the $20 registration money and the parental release form no later than Thursday, Feb. 23rd.
