The annual Mick reunion was held Aug. 16, at Seip Mound outside of Bainbridge. The weather cooperated and there was a good crowd of at least 150.
Jim Mick gave the prayer and dinner began around 12:30 p.m. There was a lot of great food. Thanks to all who helped out with that. After the meal, the annual white elephant sale began with Wesley Rhoades as the auctioneer.
A handmade quilt was auctioned off to Cherry Ellis for $140. The baby quilt went to Dwayne Woods for $20. (The money collected from this auction helps fund the reunion.) This year those recognized and winner of the gifts were:
• Oldest person in attendance was Bernice Shumaker; • Member that traveled furthest was Wesley and Tracey Ellis and boys from Tyron, Ga.
The rest of the afternoon was spent playing games and listening to some great country music. Those attending were from: Bainbridge, Chillicothe, Greenfield, Frankfort, South Salem, Lyndon, Indian Lake, Portsmouth, Lucasville and Highland in Ohio and Tyron, Ga. and Parkersburg, W.Va.[[In-content Ad]]
