Merchants National Bank sponsors annual pet parade

The Merchants National Bank sponsored the 2012 annual Pet Parade at the Festival of the Bells.
Over 35 participants and their pets showed off their creativity by utilizing colorful costumes in different themed categories.
On July 7, pet owners marched their pets in front of Merchants National Bank, where spectators viewed their ingenious ideas. A large variety of animals were exhibited in this event, from ferrets, dogs, cats, donkeys, rabbits and mice.
The judges for the 2012 Pet Parade included: Taylor Avedisian, a student at Fairfield High School; Brook Dunaway from Four Seasons Pet Shop; and Pam Kelley of Stephanie’s Pet Spa.
The master of ceremonies for this event was Peter Pence, and the official waste management crew was president of Merchants National Bank, Paul Pence.
The annual pet parade encourages pet lovers to come out and participate in the Festival of Bells and show off their animals and creativity. The bank encourages everyone to bring out their pets and participate at the 2013 Festival of Bells Pet parade.
