This month’s program: “Meet the Candidates” Forum; 2:30 p.m. (time approximate)
Hog Roast this weekend
Everyone is invited to the Highland County Senior Center on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 4-6 p.m. for a hog roast. This event is sponsored by Porky’s Pickle BBQ Catering.
Grill Master Tim Henry will be roasting up the finest barbeque north of the Mason-Dixon Line.
Porky’s Pickle Barbecue Catering is a proud member of the Kansas City BBQ Society and does their part to promote barbecue as “America’s cuisine.”
We’ll be featuring roast pig with all the trimmings, homemade desserts and beverages, all served up with a side of live country music.
All food prices are a la carte and carryout is available. Proceeds will be used to support the programs and services of the Highland County Senior Center. Please join us for this very special event.
Meet the Candidates forum
Meet the Candidates “up close and personal” at the Sept. 24 birthday dinner.
All who are running for local, county and statewide office are invited to make a short presentation and field questions from the audience.
The forum will start at approximately 1 p.m., following the meal.
This is your opportunity to voice issues and concerns to those who will be representing us. Don’t miss it.
Flu Shots
There will be two flu shot clinics this fall at the Highland County Senior Center. Both are open to the public.
This first is Monday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is held by CVS Pharmacy.
Cost for the shots is $25, but they can bill Medicare Part B, Ohio Medicaid and some private insurance. The second clinic will be done by the Highland County Health Department, and the date is Monday, Oct. 18 from 3:00-6:00. Cost is $20, and they can bill Medicare Part B, Ohio Medicaid and Aetna or Humana Medicare Supplement.[[In-content Ad]]
