You thought Magic Waters Theatre was over? Think again. Coming up soon are The Haunted Hills (starting Oct. 1) and Christmas at the Cabin (starting Oct. 15).
These two area traditions are about to get under way, and the folks at Magic Waters Theatre are extremely busy preparing for both of these fun fall events.
Considered "The place to be" for Halloween scares and fun, The Haunted Hills continues to "add to" and improve each year, and this year is no exception. The Haunted Hills folks have been busy at work for months now getting ready for everyone who loves their brand of spookiness, which will begin the evening of Oct. 1 and continue each Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout October. Ticket sales begin at 7 p.m. each evening, but no can get on the trails until it gets dark, so while you wait, Boonie the Magician will entertain you around the camp fire with ghost stories and his own special wizardry. (Actually, some folks come just to see him!)
Then, the 30th annual Christmas at the Cabin will begin on Oct. 15 and continue through Dec. 19. This unique area event features hand-crafted work of artisans from across the USA (all for sale), and you can be confident that you'll find some really different things at The Cabin. (Some folks say they haven't had their holidays without at least one visit to The Cabin.) Janny Brizius, the Cabin's proprietor, reports that she has many new artisans this year, as well as many of your old-time favorites. The cabin will be open each week from Tuesday through Sunday. (Tues.- Sat 10 a.m.-5 p.m. /Sunday- 1 p.m.-5 p.m. and on Thanksgiving Day from 4 p.m.-9 p.m.)Call (937) 365-1388 for directions to either of these fun events, both of which are on Cave Road, just off of US Route 50, between Hillsboro and Chillicothe.
