The annual Car and Motorcycle Show, sponsored by the Lynchburg Lions Club and Martinsville I.O.O.F., was held on Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Lynchburg Lions Club Park. Awards were presented to the Best of Show winner as well as the Best Ford, Best Chrysler, Best General Motors, and Best Other exhibitors. plaques were also given to the top 20 winners. All exhibitors received dash plaques as a token of appreciation for their participation. The show included nearly 75 entries, and the weather was beautiful. A big thanks is extended to all the sponsors and supporters of the show. Congratulations to all the winners.
The Best of Show plaque was won by Bill Wilmoth of Xenia with a 1956 Chevy 210. The Best General Motors car plaque was won by Wayne Hile with a 1939 Buick. The Best Ford car was exhibited by Donna Stevenson with a 1936 Ford Sedan delivery vehicle. The Best Chrysler car was exhibited by Jim Swafford with a 1967 Dodge Dart GT. The Best Other was shown by Charles Askren with a 1952 Studebaker. The best foreign motorcycle was shown by Mike Sutton, and the best American motorcycle was shown by Kevin Watson.[[In-content Ad]]
