Lead Summary
By
Bethany Myers-
On Jan. 30, FFA members from Lynchburg-Clay participated in the District 9 Food Science & Technology Career Development Event held at Felicity High School.

Aaron Chaney, Trenton McKee, Julie Arnett, Heather Thomas, Kirsten Banks, Bethany Myers, Claire Magie and Kristina Ahrmann made up the Lynchburg-Clay FFA Team.

At the competition, they were required to identify aromas and problems in packaging or handling food. They also did a food tasting exam where they had to identify which brand was different. Finally, they had to write a response to a customer complaint letter.

In the end, after much anticipation, Lynchburg-Clay FFA was awarded fourth place out of all teams involved in the event. For many of the students, this was their first year in Food Science and a great accomplishment. After all the hard work put forth in practicing and the devotion to the team, the Lynchburg-Clay members are proud to take their spot as the fourth-place Food Science team. Many thanks are due to those involved. Congratulations to those that participated.[[In-content Ad]]
