Local man grows six-foot tomato plants

Pictured is Virgil Potts of Hillsboro with his tomato plants. Potts said that his tomato plants are currently six feet, five inches tall.

According to Potts, many people have asked him how he managed to grow such tall plants, but he said he has just watered the plants with regular tap water and hasn't used any special products.

"It really surprised me that they got that big, but I'm proud of them," Potts said.[[In-content Ad]]
