Local author Saundra Crum Akers to lead writing workshop

Local author Saundra Crum Akers will lead a workshop at the Hillsboro Public Library on Aug. 29. The author of several mystery and suspense novels set in southern Ohio, Akers is well-qualified to cover how to "create your character and then make them miserable."

Akers' books include: "Fear Treads the Mountain," "Guilty," "Tempest Rider," "Spooked," "The Smelly Man," "Ghost Hunter," "The Abandoned Ghost," "Whispers on the Wind," "Dream Buster," "Bite of the Serpent," "Manifesting Destiny," and "Shattered Hart."

The workshop will begin at 7 p.m. and last about an hour. Everyone is invited to attend.
