As the holiday season approaches, we continue with our Merry Money Reading Program for kids age 2 through 6th grade.

All reading logs must be turned in and money received by Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Our Christmas Store will be open on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Details regarding the Christmas Store will be available when reading logs are turned in.

Knit Together will meet on Thursday, Nov. 1, 8, 15 and 29 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Bring in your current project and join us for a time of conversation and knitting.

We will be hosting a card-signing open house to help spread holiday cheer to service members, veterans and their families called Holiday Mail for Heroes during the month of November.

Details are available at the front desk. Join us to help wish our service men and women around the world happy holidays.

SPARX, our teen book discussion group will meet on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 5:30-7 p.m. The group will enjoy Thanksgiving snacks and a flick and discuss "The Mostly True Story of Jack" by Kelly Barnhill. All teens grades 7 & up are welcome to attend.

The staff at the Leesburg Library cordially invites all Leesburg area veterans and their families to stop in on Friday, Nov. 9 for a Continental Breakfast Open House at 10 a.m. It’s our way of saying “Thank You for Your Service.”

The library will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12 in observance of Veterans Day. Please use our outdoor book drop box if you need to return materials.

The RRR book discussion group will be meeting on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 1:30 p.m. We hope all members will be able to attend.

Our Story Times continue Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. for the Wee Ones (ages 6-36 months) and 10:30 a.m. for the Tater Tots (ages 3-5). Themes for November include I Believe I Can Fly, The Magic of Books, Happy Thanksgiving and Time for the Holidays.

The library will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 22 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We will reopen on Friday, Nov. 23. The Leesburg staff hopes your Thanksgiving holiday is filled with lots of food, family and blessings!
