Leesburg Area Historical Society to host Judy Mason Memorial Cookout

The Leesburg Area Historical Society will host its third annual Judy Mason Memorial Cookout on Friday, June 16 (rain date Saturday, June 17) from 5-8 p.m. at the Leesburg Depot. 

On the menu will be a freshly grilled hamburger or hot dog, baked beans, slaw, chips, cookie and beverage. Dine at the picnic tables or carry out.

Donations toward the depot restoration will once again be matched by the Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial Organization. Last year's event, along with a grant from the South Central Power Foundation, allowed the Society to replace the roof of its historic depot. This year, the goal is to stabilize the building's foundation, fix site drainage issues and redo the brick boarding platform.
