Lauren Teague receives Supreme Emblem Club scholarship

Lauren Teague, daughter of Linda Abbot Teague and granddaughter of Christa Abbott, a member of Hillsboro Emblem Club #277, was the 2011-12 recipient of a $2,000 scholarship awarded from the Supreme Emblem Club of the United States of America and was also awarded the Ohio State Association of Emblem Clubs scholarship of $500.

This young lady is an outstanding example of quality students chosen by Emblem Clubs throughout America to help them pursue an education in the field of their choice.

Emblem Club members themselves, their children or grandchildren, are eligible to apply for scholarships each year, and Hillsboro Emblem Club donates to both the Ohio State and the Supreme Emblem Clubs on a regular basis.

Memorial contributions in memory of deceased members also comprise a great deal of the funds raised each year for this purpose.
