Hoyt Allen to speak at Union Church of Christ

     On Sunday, July 25, Dr. Hoyt W. Allen, Jr. will be preaching at the 10:20 morning service at the Union Church of Christ, located at 3021 Taylorsville Road near Hillsboro. He will also be presenting a Bible lesson and a KYOWVA program during the Sunday School period at 9:30 a.m. for adults and teenagers. Andrew Johnson serves as the pulpit minister within the congregation.
     Brother Allen is a native of the northern panhandle of West Virginia and serves as full-time executive director of the KYOWVA Evangelistic Association. Dr. Allen's office is within the Central Christian Church in Ironton. He and his wife Shara (Moffett) reside in Ironton. Hoyt and Shara graduated from Follansbee, W.Va. High School in 1957. Hoyt was employed by the Weirton Steel Company for nearly 10 years prior to enrolling at Kentucky Christian University, from which he graduated in 1972. He holds Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Lake Charles Bible College in Lake Charles, La. Brother Allen became a part of KYOWVA in 1984 and founded the Jackson Church of Christ and has held seven located ministries.
