Hillsboro FFA treasurer crowned Pork Queen

On March 19 at the Highland County Pork Producers Annual Banquet, Michaela Chaney was crowned the 2013 Highland County Pork Industry Queen.
Michaela is the 2012-2013 Hillsboro FFA Treasurer and has been a member of the FFA for three years.
Using knowledge and skills that she gained from the FFA, she was interviewed for the position of pork queen, presented a speech at the banquet and was then crowned. As Pork Queen, she will represent the Pork Industry and the Hillsboro FFA Chapter.
When asked why she wants to be pork queen, Michaela responded, "I've always loved showing my hogs at the fair, and I wanted to become more involved with the Pork Industry. I wanted to represent the industry and be a role model to younger kids."
