Members of the Highland County Veterans Honor Guard held a “Wreaths Across America” observance Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Highland County Veterans Memorial.
The Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) also participated. Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss read a proclamation, while the Honor Guard conducted a wreath-laying ceremony.
Wreaths Across America (WAA) is a national effort that grew thanks to a simple picture of wreaths laid at soldiers' graves covered with snow at Arlington National Cemetery. In addition to Arlington National Cemetery, wreaths are laid at more than 2,700 participating locations across America each December. For more information, visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.
