On April 14, the Highland County Shooting Sports Club started their meeting by answering the roll call with their favorite pizza topping.

William Albert gave a health report on the importance of staying out of creeks in cold weather.

Tyler Carnes reminded everyone about the importance of keeping your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire your weapon.

The Advanced Pistol group consisting of Andrew Louderback and adviser Danielle
Thompson went over how to sight in and clean the club's .22 automatic pistol.

This is Andrew's third year with pistol, which he said he enjoys a lot and feels very comfortable handling the pistol.

The next meeting will be 1 p.m. April 28, with hunting and wildlife following.
