Highland County Shepherds Club raffling gift basket

Raffle tickets are now being sold by the Highland County Shepherds Club for a wonderful gift basket.

This basket includes $200 worth of grocery gift cards to Kroger and Community Market, a $50 gas gift card to Speedway, free pizzas from Beechwood Pizza, honey and honey products from Higgins Construction and Supply Co., a beautiful coverlet and tumbler from Merchants National Bank, T-shirts from Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Hillsboro and a lot more. This raffle is to help support the club's sheep show and other prizes for the kids who show sheep in Highland County.

The Highland County Shepherds Club is a local group who helps to promote the lamb and wool industries of Highland County. This year, the Shepherds Club will add two new classes for the Highland County Fair in a county born and bred class and a production class. This gives kids who show sheep a great opportunity to show their animals and be proud that the county can raise some great livestock.

Tickets are available for $1 each or six for $5. The basket will be given away the night of the sheep sale, Friday, Sept. 7. You do not need to be present to win. You may also call (937) 840-0270 for more information or to obtain tickets.

The club will also be selling tickets at Community Market on Aug. 18.
