Highland County Democratic Women to hold Basket Bazaar May 2

The Highland County Democratic Women will hold their annual Basket Bazaar, with a carry-in dinner and auction, on Monday, May 2 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Highland County Administration Building. Meat, drinks and table service will be provided.

Fred Strahorn will be the guest speaker. Strahorn was a member of the House of Representatives (40th district) Jan. 3, 2001 - Dec. 31, 2008 and a member of the Ohio Senate 5th District from March 31, 2009 - Dec. 31, 2010. He is well-versed on Senate Bill 5 and will speak on the referendum to repeal Senate Bill 5 to be put on the ballot in the general election in November. There will also be petitions to repeal Senate Bill 5 available for signatures.
