The Hillsboro High School class of 1984 held its 40th reunion at the Hillsboro Orpheum on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Honored guests included retired English teacher Joan Winner, art teacher Mary Gardener, math teacher Diana Harvey, psychology teacher Bill Alexander and his wife, Carleen, industrial arts teacher J.C. Bihl and his wife, English teacher Leona Bihl, and government teacher Tom Barton.

Class members shared their meal with the hard-working firefighters, who are now stationed at what used to be Washington Elementary School, where many in the class of 1984 attended fourth and fifth grades before it was demolished. A smaller group of the class took a tour of the “new” high school earlier in the day.
