Highland County Help Me Grow’s Adopt A Family Christmas project is “wrapped up” for the 2012 Christmas season. Highland County Help Me Grow has been conducting this project since 2003. This year, the agency was able to collaborate with some very special and remarkable sponsors to provide Christmas gifts to 79 kids across the county. Some families also received food cards to help with Christmas dinner.

Once again, the generosity of sponsors shone bright, ensuring kids would awake Christmas morning with gifts under the tree. With the help of staff and volunteers, all presents were bagged and dispersed by Friday, Dec. 21. Thank you to all who participated and made this project a huge success.

Help Me Grow serves children through two programs, home visitation and early intervention. Families who are first-time parents, children who are substantiated victims of child abuse or neglect and military families make up the home visitation program. The early intervention program is comprised of children who have been diagnosed with a developmental delay/disability.
