HDH recognizes Shirley Ormes for 5,000 volunteer hours

Shirley Ormes has been recognized for 5,000 volunteer hours at Highland District Hospital.

You may have seen Shirley at the front desk. She helps people with wheelchairs, department errands, and general information.

Shirley has also been known to give encouragement wherever it is needed. She also volunteers in the kitchen.

Shirley enjoys being outdoors, gardening, traveling, and the occasional golf game. She likes to watch baseball and golf on television. Her favorite team is the Cincinnati Reds.

She became a volunteer out of her desire to help people. She says that she enjoys volunteering at HDH because she can help the patients and visitors. She also enjoys the company of the friendly people she works with.

Please congratulate Shirley on this volunteer milestone. We are truly proud she is a part of the HDH team!
