Hardins Creek ice cream makers encourage Highland County tasters to enjoy their social on Sat. Aug. 14. 
At the corner of S.R. 771, south of Fairfield School and Hardins Creek Road, the specially-cranked ice cream tops off a picnic supper of other homemade specialties: noodles, chicken and BBQ pork sandwiches, salads, pies, cakes and cookies. Free will donations are accepted.
