William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” opens at Magic Waters Summer Theatre on Aug. 13 with subsequent performances on: Aug. 14-15, 20-22, and 27-29. Friday and Saturday shows start at 8 p.m., and Sunday shows start at 7 p.m.
Adapted to the Magic Waters stage by Tony Copper, the drama is presented in Shakespeare’s original language but in a modern setting.
In the director’s own words, “The Bard returns to Cave Holler in what is considered by many to be the greatest drama ever written.
“This is the compelling tragedy of the tormented Prince of Denmwark. It’s all here: murder, ghosts, revenge, love, and betrayal. ‘Hamlet’ at Magic Waters Theatre should undoubtedly be on your list of things to do this summer.”
Magic Waters is in its 28th season of presenting live quality theatre under the stars at their rustic amphitheater on Cave Road.
It is just off of U.S. 50, midway between Hillsboro and Chillicothe and four miles west of Bainbridge. Call (937) 365-1388 for more information or visit www.highland-ohio.com/magicwaters.[[In-content Ad]]
