Summer Reading Adventure was GREAT!  We had a total of 528 participate in
our summer program. We also had 65 signed up for our Library Camp. The following businesses provided fun reading incentives: Petland, McDonalds, Bob Evans, Subway, Burger King, Dominos, Star Cinema, Robbins Village Florist, Weller's Plumbing, Long's Retreat, Kings Island, Newport Aquarium, Cincinnati Reds, COSI, CoCo Key Resort, The Glitz, Kathy Decker, Greene's Automotive & your library.  We certainly thank those businesses who are all for reading and libraries. They have made our summer really exciting.
All children who returned their reading logs received lots of coupons and
prizes.
Teens who won prizes included:  Mikayla Stenerson, Kaylee Morris, Courtney Wiles, Jennifer Ross, Cassie Cox, Tara Nagel, Kaitlin Garrison, Paige Speakman, Travis Kempton, Austin Pollock, Jordan Anderson, Brandon Wise, Eric Matthews, Marisa Hike, Kayla Pack, Robby Wiles, Ty Brenner, JoLynn Brown, & Justin Free.
Adult prize winners included:  Mary M. Smith, Ellen Marrinan, Linda Davy, Dawn Needham, Pam Manning, Ron Snavely, Sarah Gardner, Lisa Stewart, Kathleen Main, Julia Boyd, Joyce Tolle, Beth Bowman, Ann Mitchell, Debbie Baal, Joanne Helterbrand, Mary Chapman, Kristina Fox, Judy Freeland, Tamara Morris, Pam Smith, Dave Sorrell, Patricia Armstrong, Shirley Rowe, Cheri Ditmer, Sharon Greene, Sheila Carter, Judy Delph, Janine Peabody, John Baal, Misty Posey, Bertie Riley, Faitha Shelton, Vicki Duff, Francis Detwiller, Amy Rhoads, Karen Yeager, Jessica Rayburn, Mary Myers, Barbara Ross, Betty Bullock, Joyce Amyx, & Karen Wilson.

And the most desired prize, the aquarium donated by Petland, was won by Ida Monroe.

SEPTEMBER 2 - 11 a.m. ­ noon - STROKE SUPPORT GROUP - this group is
for stroke survivors, caregivers, or families of stroke victims.  It will be
the 1st Thursday of each month and is presented by the Greenfield Area
Medical Center.
SEPTEMBER 1 & 20 ­ DAWNA JO KIESLING, from the Highland County Extension
Office, will be with us from 3-5 p.m., sharing great ideas & recipes for

Storytimes will resume the week of September 12.
SEPTEMBER 6 ­ Library will be closed for Labor Day.
SEPTEMBER 13 ­ 8:30 a.m. ­to noon- Highland County Commissioners will hold
their meeting at the Greenfield Library.  Stop in and share your ideas or
concerns.
OCTOBER 6,13,20,27 ­ 5:30-8 p.m. ­ COMPUTER CLASSES.  Beginning computer
and internet classes.  Class size is limited so please pre-register for
these free classes.
