Spring is an exciting time at the library. We're planning for our Summer Reading Adventure and all the fun summer programs that are coming. The summer theme is "One World … Many Stories." We'll be "traveling" throughout the world to find stories & fun things to do. Be watching for great upcoming events.
Check these out:
• April 25, 6:30 p.m. - Genealogy Club meets. Each month on the last Monday evening, this group meets to learn more about genealogy searching. This month, we have a very special treat. Russ Pollitt, Genealogy Specialist from the Columbus Metropolitan Library, will join us and share with us all the things that are available through their library. Everyone is invited. We will come away with lots of new information and resources.
• May 4 & 16, 3-5 p.m. - Dawna Jo Kiesling will be at the library to share information & recipes for healthy eats & treats. Stop in and pick up a few.
• May 10 & 11 - Perennial Exchange. This is an annual event that everyone seems to love. It's simple - bring in a perennial (or several) and exchange for a perennial (or several) that you don't have. Join in the fun.
• May 18, 5 p.m. Bookworms - Our adult book discussion group meets monthly on the third Wednesday. The book chosen for this month is "Firefly Lane" by Kristin Hannah. Stop in and pick up a copy and join us. Everyone welcome.
• May 30 - Library closed for Memorial Day.
• June 3 - Summer Reading Kickoff, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• June 3 & 4 - Book Sale - Begins 10 a.m. Will go through the 11th.
• Storytime for 2's and 3's, 11 a.m. Stories, crafts, music, just lots of fun.
• Drop-in Crafts For Kids: Check out the monthly crafts that kids can do when they visit the library!
