Greenfield Library Link

Margaret Magee-
Our Christmas reading promotion for children began on Oct. 1 and is in full swing. We have 97 signed up for our “Season’s Readings Christmas Club” thus far. It is for children age 3 through grade 6. At sign-up, children will receive a book bag, reading log and a McDonald’s coupon. They then check out and read books through Nov. 27. For each five books read, they receive $1 in “Merry Money." They then will have the opportunity to use their Merry Money to buy gifts for their family at the Library Christmas Gift Shop on Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. This will be our 16th year for our Christmas program, and it is always a hit.
Other happenings include:
· Nov. 8 – 10:30-11:30 a.m. - Blood pressure checks.
· Nov. 12 - Library will be closed for the observance of Veterans Day.

· Dec. 6 – 11 a.m.-noon – Stroke Support Group. This group is for stroke survivors, caregivers or families of stroke victims. It will be the first Thursday of each month and is presented by the Greenfield Area Medical Center.
