The Highland County Dog Pound has the following dogs available for adoption or rescue pulls as of Feb. 11, listed courtesy of the Friends of the Highland County Dog Pound.

Transport date is Feb. 12.

(1) Dipstick: He’s a very active, super energetic pup who would absolutely thrive in a home where he can run, play, and burn off his zoomies every day. He is 2 years old weighing 55 lbs. Dipstick is not just all energy, though —he’s incredibly sweet, affectionate and loves his people. If you’re looking for a fun, active companion, Dipstick is ready to keep up.

(2) Angel: Angel is a 5–6 year old, 38 lb. beagle mix who lost her person when her owner passed away. Now, she’s patiently waiting for a new forever home where she can feel safe and loved again. She’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, and would do well in most home environments. We’re unsure how she is with kids, so slow introductions would be best. Angel is ready to love again—she just needs someone to choose her.

(3) Eve: Eve is a boxer mix who loves with her whole heart. She’s a 4-year-old sweetheart who is playful, joyful, and happiest when she’s with her people. With an active family and older kids, Eve would truly shine. Give Eve the home she’s been waiting for, and she’ll fill it with love.

(4) Redgy: Redgy is a 2-year-old, 60 lb. pit bull with a big heart and a gentle spirit. He’s great with kids, dogs, and even cats, making him the perfect addition to a family looking for a friendly, adaptable pup. He may get the occasional zoomies, but mostly he’s all about cuddles, walks, and love. Give Redgy his forever home and he’ll give you endless affection in return.

(5) Cornelius: Cornelius feels things deeply. He’s a 3-year-old pit bull mix who is sweet, sensitive, and easily overwhelmed. A quiet home where he can be the only dog would help him feel secure and happy. Give Cornelius the space to breathe and the love he deserves, and he’ll give you his whole heart in return.

(6) Wild Willy: This handsome goofball is Wild Willy. At 4–5 years old, he is neutered and he weighs around 60 lbs. This boxer mix is sweet, playful, and full of personality. He loves human company and will happily keep you entertained with his antics. Willy is looking for a kid-free home where he can relax, feel comfortable, and be his best self. Adopt Wild Willy—life’s better with laughter.

(7) Cupid: This handsome guy is Cupid, and yes — he lives up to his name. He’s a sweet, playful 5–6 year old pit mix who loves spending time with people and soaking up attention. Cupid doesn’t ask for much… just love, companionship, and a chance. Adopt Cupid and let him love you back tenfold.

(8) Red: Red has packed his bags too many times. In just three months, he’s been in two homes—and now he’s tired. He’s a sweet husky who’s ready to slow down, settle in, and finally belong. He weighs 45-50 lbs. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and a forever commitment, Red is waiting.

(9) Daisy: This sweet girl is a 9-week-old Great Pyrenees mix with a big heart and an even bigger future. Daisy is playful, curious, and full of puppy excitement, always ready to explore the world and make new friends. She’s expected to grow into a beautiful 50–80 lb. pup, perfect for someone looking for a loyal companion to grow up with. Daisy is eager to learn, loves attention, and is so ready to trade kennel life for a cozy home and a family to call her own. If you’re looking for a loving, fun-loving puppy to add joy (and a few puppy antics) to your life, Daisy is ready to meet you.

(10) Duke: This big, handsome boy is Duke, a 9-week-old Great Pyrenees mix and the largest pup of the bunch—but don’t let his size fool you. Duke is incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving, with a calm, soulful expression that melts hearts instantly. He’s expected to grow into a majestic 50–80 lb dog and would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a kind-hearted, affectionate puppy to grow with. Duke enjoys being held, soaking up attention, and showing off his soft, cuddly side. If you’re searching for a gentle giant in the making, Duke is ready to find his forever home and love you endlessly.

(11) Bo: This handsome boy is a 9-week-old Great Pyrenees mix with a big personality to match his growing paws. Bo is the feistier sibling—full of confidence, curiosity, and playful energy. He loves to explore, wrestle, and show off his fun-loving spirit. Bo is expected to grow into a strong, stunning guy around 50–80 lbs, making him a wonderful companion for an active family ready for puppy adventures and training. He’s smart, spirited, and eager to find a home that will help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a bold, playful puppy with tons of charm and potential, Bo is ready to steal your heart.

(12) Boss: Boss is a 3-year-old mixed-breed hound with a heart of gold and the sweetest personality. He’s neutered, affectionate, and loves attention—especially from people who are ready to spend time with him. Boss does have some energy and would thrive with an active owner who enjoys walks, playtime, and keeping him engaged. True to his hound roots, he’s curious, fun-loving, and always ready for his next adventure. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will happily join you on an active lifestyle, Boss is ready to find his forever home and be your new best friend.

(13) Blossom: She’s a 3-year-old mixed breed with a big heart and lots of energy to share. Blossom is playful, happy, and would thrive with an active family who loves walks, adventures, and playtime. Once she gets her zoomies out, she’s all sweetness and love. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal companion—Blossom might be your girl.

(14) Sargent: Sargent is a 5–7-year-old, 80-lb Great Pyrenees with the sweetest soul and a calm, gentle presence that instantly wins hearts. He’s a true gentle giant—kind, affectionate, and easygoing. True to his breed, Sargent loves the cold and enjoys spending time outdoors, making him a great candidate for a farm or country home where he can stretch his legs and keep watch. With his laid-back nature and loyal heart, he’d thrive as a farm dog or rural companion who wants to be near his people. Sargent is simply looking for a forever home where he can be loved and appreciated for the amazing Great Pyrenees he is. If you’re searching for a steady, devoted companion, Sargent may be your perfect match.

(15) Jasper: Jasper is a 3–4 year old lab/pit mix with a heart full of love. Jasper is sweet, playful, and happiest when he’s spending time with people. He’s ready for his forever home—one with toys, love, and a family to call his own. Could Jasper be your missing piece?
