Comedian Drew Hastings, who is known for his appearances on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno and his one-hour Comedy Central special, "Irked and Miffed," is bringing his talent to the Murphy Theater in Wilmington Oct. 15.
"Hastings’ unique perspective on life has earned him popularity in Hollywood for close to 20 years," according to a press release from Natalie Walston, CEO of The Walston Group. "He’s also a regular guest on the Bob & Tom Show. When he bought a small cattle farm in Hillsboro several years ago, more audiences in the Midwest began to pay attention to his fish-out-of water experiences on his farm. The name of his shows are aptly titled Farmageddon.
“I had the county Extension agent come out to help me get started in crops. He told me the best thing for me to plant was a For Sale sign in the front yard,” is a line that he shares with his audiences.
Most people can relate to Hastings’ comedy as he describes the fear surrounding using a chain saw for the first time or being scared of the sounds in the night in an otherwise peaceful country setting.
This is the second time Hastings has performed at the Murphy Theatre and was brought back by popular demand. The Murphy Theater is located at 50 W. Main Street in Wilmington.
Tickets are on sale now by calling 937-382-3643 or toll-free at 877-274-3848. You can also order online at http://www.themurphytheatre.org/ .
