DAR Waw-wil-a-way Chapter attends Columbus event

Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution Waw-wil-a-way Chapter, Children of the American Revolution, and Junior American Citizens attended the August OSDAR Fall Fun Fair in Columbus.
The Fall Fun Fair is held each year.
"Our goal is to inform all chapter members that DAR is much more than "going to a monthly meeting," said Sharlene J. Shoaf, state regent.
"We are a service organization. We promote education to our youth about our American history, support the giving of scholarships, promote community service and awards, work with literacy programs, encourage conservation, develop good citizenship in our youth, commemorate our heritage, support our active military and veterans, teach proper flag etiquette and much, much more."
WWAW attendees manned their state committee tables, took chapter pictures, paged, gave reports, awarded certificates, donated prizes, gave demonstrations, gathered information, socialized, went swimming and had a fun time.
